As Interim President of CCID, Ed has oversight of all aspects of the organization. In his role he will oversee student mobility programs, conferences, and special training focused on global education, as well as assisting clients with vocational and professional program models, workforce development, curriculum, and needs assessments. He will lead communication with domestic and non-domestic colleges and organizations, and will focus on expanding the global capacity of the organization until a new CCID President is hired in the Spring of 2011.

Carrie has been with CCID since 2007 and provides administrative and program support to the organization President and staff.  She maintains all communications with the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Members.  She also assists with the coordination of the Annual Conference, Summer Institute, and Professional Development Programs for the members.

Andrea has been with the organization since 2002 and had administered a multitude of CCID activities. Currently, she manages all aspects of the CCID Troika Study Abroad programs, coordinates CCID events including the Annual Conference and Summer Institute, or other events. She is an ARO (Alternate Responsible Officer) for CCID's J-1 Visa program, and is responsibile for visa application issuance for professors and scholars as well as the program's compliance. She oversees CCID budgets, insurance and presents about CCID to various audiences interested in the organization and its services.

After 12 years as the CCID President and Executive Director, John strategically realigned his position, and retired. Currently, he remains in part-time capacity to assist with CCID's transition to the new leadership as well as with increasing the organization's presence in global regions. John remains fully engaged and committed in pursuing and promoting community college and workforce training model around the globe.

In cooperation with the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Carol is responsible for the overall administration and implementation of the Community College Initiative at CCID and participating colleges. In addition to supervising staff, Carol writes proposals and reports, coordinates compliance and administrative functions with Kirkwood Community College, and drives alumni and public relations. Carol acts as the liaison to the CCID board on issues related to CCI, and leads the CCI Forum, a group of presidents from participating colleges who provide direction and feedback on the program.

As Assistant National Director, Shawn led development of a Global Leadership Development curriculum, an essential component of the CCI Programs that exposes participants to leadership training and the principles of a democratic society, and how those ideas can be implemented upon their return home. He also works with external evaluators to monitor how program outcomes relate to the goals developed by the U.S. Department of State. He leads communication with the countries that send students to the programs, and is responsible for the budgeting of numerous Awards that support the CCI Programs.

As a Program Manager, Liz is responsible for managing college implementation of the Community College Initiative Programs. Specifically, she manages CCID activities focused on placing, orienting, monitoring, and supporting participants from Egypt and several other nations pursuing studies in a variety of technical and professional fields at CCID member institutions. She works to effectively match participants to these institutions, organize training and development for campus-based staff, plan and deliver student orientations and develop appropriate processes and documentation to monitor and improve college delivery and the participant experience.

Kate has worked at CCID since July 2010 as the Grants Project Assistant. Part of her responsibilities include document preparation for student orientations, SEVIS, taxation and COINS healthcare documentation. As CCID Grants Accounting Manager, Barry is responsible for all aspects of the financial responsibilities related to the grant management process. In addition to managing a staff of two grants accountants, he also manages the annual budget approval process, all compliance issues, financial reporting to US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and international tax reporting. It is Barry’s goal to build on CCID’s strong professional relationships with our partner colleges and to continuously find ways to enhance the program in all aspects. Having joined the team in April of 2010, Barry is looking forward to getting to know everyone associated with this program!
